Bavaria is the largest state in Germany. It has a
history of great food and beer, colorful festivals and lively music.
Andreas Keller was established in 1989 by
David Forchemer out of a love for Bavaria and the "gemütliche"
(make yourself at home, comfortable feeling) restaurants there.
His daughter, Heidi, now owns and operates the restaurant
and continues its long tradition
Heidi Forchemer, Owner
of authenticity. She speaks German and
travels almost yearly to Bavaria
visiting relatives
and finding new ideas.
We are also happy to support our restaurant by presenting our own
festival wagon which is pulled by several of our own Haflinger
horses.

The Staff at Andreas Keller
Our
Head Chef
Anita Hamilton
Born in Alsfeld, Hessen, Germany, Anita Hamilton learned cooking in a
Catholic convent in Fulda, a few miles away from her hometown.
For four years she studied under a kitchen supervisor who had
long lived in Munich, and was well-versed in cooking Bavarian
specialties.
Anita moved to Leavenworth in 1991, where she soon
became part of the "Andreas Keller Family." Anita
oversees the smooth and authentic operation of the kitchen, and now,
after more than (10) ten years, is a pivotal figure in the restaurant's
history.
In fact, many of the restaurant staff have
been working in "the Keller" for years, and guests often ask
for them by name. Their individual personalities add to the
warmth and friendly charm that has helped make Andreas Keller the
success it is today. The charm of the restaurant's decor, the
winning staff, and the authentic Bavarian cuisine make for an
unparalleled combination. That is why Andreas Keller gets better
every year!
